In a recent Good Morning America interview, The Voice star and singer Gwen Stefani admitted she still struggles with the fact her relationship with Gavin Rossdale is over.
During the April 4th interview, Stefani painfully stated, “I felt like I was so…I was so kind of…I felt like…I can’t find the words.” It was obvious to viewers and GMA hosts she still felt pain when talking about the split.
Stefani and Rossdale ended their relationship when Stefani discovered revealing texts from Rossdale to their nanny, Mindy Mann.
Some good has come out of their breakup, though. Stefani made a point of saying, “I can’t go down. I had to make something good out of it, so I tried to write.”
Her determination paid off and she wrote her third, and highly successful album, This Is What the Truth Feels Like. When speaking of the production of the album, Stefani stated, “it was magic…I don’t care about anything else except for getting this out and healing and being honest and real and truthful.”
Though Stefani has found love again with Voice co-star Blake Shelton, she still feels the pain of her break from Rossdale. “It’s still painful…it’s still super hard to have your family break up.”
