Duggars Call 911
Jessa Duggar-Seewald, one of TLC’s reality stars from 19 Kids and Counting, was the subject of a 911 call earlier this week.
After giving having a home birth with her first child, a baby boy, her mom Michelle Duggar placed a call to 911 responders. In the call, Michelle requests for paramedics to come to the home when she noticed Jessa had “quite a bit of blood, when the placenta detached.”
Sounding remarkably calm on the recording, Michelle answers the dispatcher’s questions.
“Is she awake?” the dispatcher asks.
“She’s alert and awake,” Michelle states.
Though Jessa was quickly rushed to the hospital by paramedics, both she and the baby are now doing fine. The family, including her husband Ben Seewald, have not yet revealed the name of their son, but they did confirm the baby boy’s weight at 9 lbs 11oz.
The birth will be a focal point on TLC’s new series about the Duggar sisters, Jill & Jessa: Counting On.
